Maurizio Toneatto

Maurizio Toneatto is the Principal Architect at Toneatto Architects, bringing extensive experience in crafting intentional architecture across government, community, institutional, childcare, and residential projects. Since 1999, he has led his practice, focusing on designs that bridge the unique landscapes of the Dandenong Ranges with the way clients live. With initial training as a Surveyor/Cartographer, Maurizio developed a deep connection with the natural environment and its inspirational topography. This foundation informs his approach, ensuring each project sits in quiet dialogue with its surroundings, guided by natural light, material honesty, and a profound respect for place. Maurizio believes in a collaborative process, working closely with clients from initial concept through to construction. He partners with a dedicated team of professionals and trades to realise positive outcomes, creating enduring, considered homes and spaces that are deeply connected to where they belong.
